Houck Rites Tuesday The funeral of George Clinton Houck, 65, will be held at 2 pm Tuesday in the chapel of Chickasha Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Walker, pastor of Epworth Methodist Church, officiating. He will be assisted by Rev. Jim Logan Jr. of First Presbyterian Church. Mr. Houck died of a heart attack Saturday morning in his home. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under direction of Chickasha Funeral Home. |

Express~Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Thursday, March 2, 1972 Gratia Cecila [Hamble] Houck April 6, 1890 ~ March 1, 1972 Funeral service for Mrs. Gratia Cecile, 81, Chickasha Nursing Home will be at 2 pm Friday in the chapel of Brown's Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Leonard, officiating. Mrs. Houck was born April 6, 1890 in Allen, Kan. She died Wednesday. She was the wife of the late George Houck, who died in 1952. They came to Chickasha in 1951 from Wapanucka. Mrs. Houck was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Mary Virgin of Chickasha; one son, Phillip Houck of Vero Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Marsh of Fort Worth, Texas, and Mrs. Hazel Newman of Shepherds Town, W. Va.; and five grandchildren. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the funeral home. The casket will not be opened at the service. |
