Funeral services for Claud E. Hill, 88, of Verden, Okla., will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, at Verden First Baptist Church. Rev. Ed Whitley will officiate, and Rev. Johnny Wray will assist.

Claud E. Hill was born July 17, 1916, in Vamossa, Okla., and died on Monday, October 25, 2004, in Chickasha.

Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, under the direction of McRay's Verden Funeral Home.

Claud E. Hill
July 17, 1916 ~ October 25, 2004


Funeral service for Claud E. Hill, age 88, of Verden, Oklahoma, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 29, 2004, in the Verden First Baptist Church. Rev. Ed Whitley will officiate, and Rev. Johnny Wray will assist.

Claud E. Hill was born the son of Albert Henry Hill and Myrtle Etta Speaks Hill on July 17, 1916, in Vamossa, Oklahoma. He died on October 25, 2004, in Chickasha.

Claud grew up in the Wanette, Oklahoma, area. He married Ruth A. Hill on November 16, 1941, in Konawa, Oklahoma. Claud entered the United States Army during World War II. Claud and Ruth moved to Verden in 1947 and began farming. Claud later operated Hill's Bait House and a small engine repair shop.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Tom, Thurman, Albert, Jack, and W. B. (Bill) Hill, two sisters, Ola Mae Schornick and Mattie Hill, and his wife, Ruth.

Survivors include his daughter, Patsy Hill Vaughn, of Anadarko; grandson and wife, Matthew and Alena Polly, of Edmond; great granddaughter, Katelyn Polly, of Edmond; sister, Dorothy Woodall, of Shawnee; other family and friends. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha. Service will be under the direction of the McRay's Verden Funeral Home.

Graveside service for Rosa Hill, 81, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 11 am, Friday, August 14, 2009, at the Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha.

ROSA HILL was born February 1, 1928, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the daughter of Leonard Russell and Willie May [Myers] Bond, and died August 11, 2009 in Chickasha. She lived in Clinton, Elk City, and Chickasha. Rosa retired from Grady Memorial Hospital where she worked as a cardiac monitor tech in ICU. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by: Her husband: Joseph Donald Hill in 2005, 1 daughter: Jo Ann Stephens in 2007, Parents: Leonard and Willie May Bond, Sister: Marie Bond. Survivors include: 2 daughters: Donna Cox, Connie Dahl, 4 brothers: Perry Bond, Frank Bond, Kenneth Bond, Johnny Bond, 2 sisters: Jane Pearcy, Charlette Slawson, 4 grandchildren: Stephen Dahl, Renae Dahl, Stephanie Spinnie and Ashlee Cox, 3 great grandchildren: Halei Pruitt, Jahden Pruitt, and Strider Spinnie.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Bennie L. Hill
July 22, 1929 ~ March 27, 2004


Funeral service for Bennie L. Hill, 74, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2004, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Bennie L. Hill was born July 22, 1929, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the son of Ed and Sallie [Goutley] Hill, and died Saturday, March 27, 2004, in Chickasha.

He grew up in San Diego, California. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1956. He then served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1958. After his military service he came back to Chickasha and worked for Occidental Chemical Company. He retired in 1986.

He later worked for Crawford Roofing and then for Chickasha Roofing, and he then worked for Bo Crawford Roofing, and then he went back and worked for Crawford Roofing.

Mr. Hill was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Faye Copp Hill, in 1988. He is survived by their five children: Robin Westfall of Mississippi, Gayle Westfall of Ft. Worth, Marey Sims-Hill of Chickasha, Tracy Mealer of Chi ckasha, Ben K. Hill of Chickasha.

He later married Linda Timmons.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Timmons Hill, of the home in Chickasha, OK He is also survived by nine stepchildren: Robert Ward, Carla Malone, William Ward, II, Katherine Ward, Malinda Ward, Tammy Rather, Joyce Ward, Charles Ward and Stacy Tedder; 29 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a host of family-in-law and numerous friends.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Graveside service for "E. G." Elgie Gordon Hill, 71, of 117 N. 17th, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at the Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha.

"E. G." Elgie Gordon Hill was born February 24, 1935 to William Alvin Hill and Edith Lenora [Maxie] Hill at Tabler, Oklahoma in Grady County. Mr. Hill, age 71, died of a massive heart attack at 3:26 p.m. on June 17, 2006 while at home.

Mr. Hill was preceded in death by: parents; two brothers: William Harmon and Johnny Harmon.

Survivors include: two sons: Thomas Edward Duane Hill of Cooper, TX; Emmit Gordon Hill of Boswell, OK; five daughters: Katheryn Elaine Shipman of Estelline, TX; Edith Geneva Lewis of Dodd City, TX; Shanna Marie Forthman of Powderly, TX; Tina Marie Bowen of Atoka, OK; Sandra Ann Martin of Durant, OK; five sisters: Lucille Wilmeth of Ada, OK; Beaulah Patrick of Chickasha, OK; Lenora Bennett of Chickasha, OK; Jackie Sue Trayhan of Mississippi; Sharon Rose of Ruidoso, NM; sister-in-law: Cora Wilkerson; 17 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Otha "Jane" [Feagins] Hill
February 13, 1923 ~ April 19, 2010


Funeral services for Otha "Jane" Hill, 87, of Chickasha, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, April 22, 2010, in the Bible Baptist Church with Kim Hayes officiating. Otha "Jane" Hill was born February 13, 1923, in Denton, Texas, the daughter of Cecil and Irene [Hicks] Feagins. She died April 19, 2010, in Chickasha.

Jane married the love of her life, Carl Hill, on May 16, 1941, in Glendale, Arizona. This union blessed them with two children, Thomas James and Carol Winona Hill. They had 57 wonderful years together before Carl preceded her in death in 1998.

After Carl's discharge from the Army Air Corps, they moved to California. After his retirement they moved to Chickasha, where Jane had worked at Chickasha Laundry, Maremont Company, and later became the head cook for Pioneer Schools. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church.

Jane was preceded in death by both parents; husband, Carl Hill; son, Thomas Hill; and son-in-law, Roy L. Bush.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Bush of Chickasha; four granddaughters and husbands: Carrie Bentley of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Cheryl and Steve Willard of Blanchard, Christine and Alfonso Cherry of Savanna, Georgia and Kathy Irene Geng of San Antonio, Texas; three grandsons and wife: Carl and Tonya Hill of Flower Mound Texas, Thomas Hill of San Antonio, Texas, and Lonnie Hill of Denver, Colorado; eleven great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; sister, Mildred Kirby; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Bill and Wanda Andrews, George "Butch" Steelman, and Everett and Nora Steelman; many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
