Clarence Everett "Curly" Harrell
December 19, 1927 ~ September 22, 2009


Funeral services for Clarence Everett "Curly" Harrell, 81, of Chickasha will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, September 25, 2009, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Rodgers officiating.

Clarence Everett "Curly" Harrell was born December 19, 1927, in Tuttle, Oklahoma to Howard Lee and Althea [Richey] Harrell.

He died September 22, 2009, in Tuttle, Oklahoma.

He grew up in the Tuttle and Chickasha area moving to Chickasha in 1941.

Clarence served in the U.S. Air Force for 2 years during WWII.

He married Erma Jean Johnson on August 14, 1950. This union blessed them with one son, Phillip Lee Harrell.

He later married Betty June Earl in 2002.

Clarence was a bus driver for Chickasha Public Schools for 22 years, retiring in 2007.

He was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, a member of the Chickasha Masonic Lodge #54, a member of various guitar bands and bluegrass clubs, and he was a member of Grace Baptist Church for over 40 years.

He is preceded in death by both parents; wife, Erma Jean [Johnson] Harrell; sister, Rose Hardwick; and a brother, Maurice "Red" Harrell.

He leaves behind his wife, Betty, of the home; one son, Phillip Harrell and wife, Shannan; two granddaughters: Trinket and Lee De Board and Tiffany and Shane Guerrero; one grandson, Michael Walker; great grandchildren: Morgan, Maci and Maddie Kendrick and Mavrick Guerrero; step-daughter: Cindy and Quintin Smitherman; two step granddaughters: Erin and Evyn Smitherman; two sisters: Alphus Bentley and Nada Benson; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
