July 2012 Ora Evelyn [Walls] Greene December 24, 1923 ~ July 7, 2012 Graveside funeral services for Ora Evelyn Greene, 88, of Chickasha, will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. in the Fairlawn Cemetery with Johnny Tims officiating. Ora Evelyn Greene was born December 24, 1923, in Quinton, Oklahoma, the daughter of Cecil Walls and Reba Rachel [Meadows] Walls. She died Saturday, July 7, 2012, in Duncan, Oklahoma. Evelyn married Carl Greene on November 6, 1942, in Chickasha. On November 6, 1992, they celebrated fifty years of marriage. She loved attending arts and craft shows, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She attended Sunday school and church at the First Baptist Church in Chickasha. She was preceded in death by: both parents; her husband, Carl Braxton Greene Jr.; and son Carl Braxton Greene III. Survivors include: her grandchildren, Marion Greene and Billy Richard Greene, both of Chickasha; great-grandchildren Cale and Carlie Greene of Chickasha, and Patrick Braxton Reiss of Chickasha; sisters, Lucy Grigsby of Oklahoma City and Lelia Smiley of Chickasha; sister-in-law Norma Hayes of Chickasha; and nephew Joe Arganbright of Oklahoma City. Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. |

Bertha Mae Green was born August 19, 1934 in Comanche, Oklahoma the daughter of Tom L. and Elsie [Summers] Richardson. She died January 11, 2009 in Chickasha. Bertha worked for George and Sons Studios and Clyde's Café. She later worked for Sunnytide, Eventide, Tuttle and Chickasha Nursing Homes and Grady Memorial Hospital. She also owned and operated a licensed day care. Bertha was preceded in death by: Her parents, 3 brothers: Robert, Gene and Harold. Survivors include: 1 daughter: Donna Bradley and husband, Darrell, of Oklahoma City, 1 son: Irvin Green and wife, Jenny, of Ninnekah, 4 brothers and their wives: J.B. and Gerry Richardson of Amber, Howard and Nelda Richardson of Amber, Dale and Anna Richardson of Kansas, Fred and Johna Richardson of Pioneer, 1 sister: Shirley McClellen of Alex, OK, 1 aunt: Dorothy Jolley of Blanchard, OK, Sisters-in-law: Francis Richardson of Rolla, KS, Joyce Richardson of Chickasha, Carolyn Tiefel of Chickasha, 5 grandchildren: Ed and wife Erika Green of Chickasha, Alexis and Dylan Green of Ninnekah, Tyler and Kylee Bradley of Oklahoma City, 3 great grandchildren: Jordan, Brooklyn and Kendall, Host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
