Pearl Inez [Elder] Grayson
July 4, 1907 ~ November 17, 2004


Funeral service for Pearl Inez Grayson, 97, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 20, 2004, at the Calvary Baptist Church.

Pearl Inez Grayson was born July 4, 1907, in Cyril, Oklahoma, the daughter of John P. and Julia Ann [Vincent] Elder, and died November 17, 2004, in Chickasha.

Mrs. Grayson was born in Indian Territory and grew up on a farm near Cyril.

She and Lester Grayson were married April 30, 1924, in Cyril. He proceded her in death in 1981.

They were married for 57 years. They moved to Chickasha from the Verden area in 1943. Mrs. Grayson worked at Grady Memorial Hospital for about 20 years. She was a member of the Triple L Seniors and the Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Grayson was also preceded in death by 1 son, Delmon Grayson, 1 daughter, Nadine Bernot, parents, and 2 brothers, Ewell Elder and John V. Elder.

Survivors include: daughter-in-law: Barbea Tomsen; 2 sisters, Violet Tumbleson, Vivian Tumbleson; 6 grandchildren: Susan Reid, Donna Columbia, Steve Bernot, Phillip Bernot, Clayton Grayson, and John Grayson; 7 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
