Bob Gene Graves
October 13, 1930 ~ March 7, 2009


Funeral service for Bob Graves, 78, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2009 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.

Bob Graves was born October 13, 1930 in Chickasha, Oklahoma the son of Johnnie and Alice White Crowell Graves. He died March 7, 2009 in Chickasha.

Bob lived in Chickasha all of his life. He graduated from Chickasha St. Joseph School and attended OU and OCW.

He and Mollie Elizabeth Smotherman were married June 12, 1953 in Chickasha.

He was traffic manager for Sequoyah Carpet Mills at Anadarko and Hollytex Gold Crest at Anadarko. He started working at the County Assessor's Office in 1979 and later served as elected County Assessor until his retirement.

Bob served in the U.S. Navy as a Gunner Mate during the Korean Conflict.

He was preceded in death by: Parents: Johnnie and Alice Graves.Survivors include: Wife: Beth Graves of the home; 3 daughters:Pamela Smith and husband Mike of Gladewater, TX, Robin Smith and husband, Terry, of Chickasha, OK, and Jan Frazer of Stillwater, OK; 1 brother, Bill Graves and wife Nona of Chickasha, OK; Grandchildren: Mike Mosley and wife Desiree of Chickasha, Mandy Smith of Chickasha, Jenny Frazer of Stillwater. D.J. Williams of Gladewater, TX, Beckie Lipcomb and husband Brison of Lawton. Jami Frazer of Enid, Jeremy Smith of Chickasha, Chase Smith of Gladewater, TX; Great grandchildren: Dawson Mosley, Kayla Mosley, and Bree Lipcomb; amd Nephew: John Graves of Oklahoma City.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Mollie Elizabeth [Smotherman] Graves
May 18, 1934 ~ September 29, 2020


Graveside service will be Friday, October 2, 2020 at Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, OK.

Mollie E. "Beth" Graves, 86, of Chickasha, OK passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She was born May 18, 1934 in Center, [County?], Texas to James Leland and Tennie Mae [Lambert] Smotherman.

Beth had lived in Chickasha most of her life. She graduated from Chickasha High School and attended and graduated from Oklahoma College for Women [USAO]. She went on to teach Home Economics at Cement High School and worked at OESC in Chickasha for 15 years. She received her Elementary Teaching Certificate and taught elementary at Bradley and Alex schools where she eventually retired.

She married Bob Graves in June 1954.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bob Graves on March 7, 2009; brother Charlie Joe Smotherman; granddaughter Rebecca Lipscomb; son-in-law Mike Smith, brother-in-law, Bill Graves; and a great grandchild Trenton N. Barefield.

Beth is survived by her daughters: Robin Smith and husband Terry; Jan Frazer and Pam Smith; 9 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild on the way; and her sister-in-law Nona Graves and sister-in-law Elsie Smotherman.

Services are under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home, Chickasha, OK.
