Edward Lee Graham
January 20, 1919 ~ August 28, 2005


Funeral service for Edward Lee Graham, 86, Lawton, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Baptist Church, with Rev. Eddie Coast, Geronimo, Oklahoma, and Bro. Mike Shaw, Pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating.

Mr. Graham died Sunday in a Lawton hospital. Burial with Navy honors will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Becker Funeral Home.

He was born January 20, 1919 in Ireton, Oklahoma to Josiah R. Clifton and Maggie May (Baker) Graham. He married Mildred Smith on October 20, 1944 in Amber, Oklahoma. He served in the US Navy during WW II, from 1942 until 1945. In 1980 he retired from Public Service CO. after 34 years of service. He and his wife were members of the Good Sam Travel Club, and enjoyed traveling in their motor home. He was an avid fisherman, and a member of Trinity Baptist Churchm where he served as a Deacon.

Survivors include: his wife Mildred of the home, Son Larry E. Graham and his wife Dixie of Blanchard, Oklahoma,3 Brothers, Henry Graham of Mustang, OK, Carrol Graham and his wife Lawana of Britton, OK, and Vernia Graham of Chickasha, OK. His sister, Rachel Corley of Tuttle, OK, Grandson Steven Graham and his wife Peggy of Norman, OK, Granddaughter Becky Bowling and her husband Tim of Noble, OK, 4 Great Grandchildren, Aubrey Winyard, Lauren Winyard, Cathryn Allbritton-Wood and Alexander Allbitton-Wood. Great great grandchild Steven Allbritton Graham. Numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by: Parents, Brother, Ernest Graham and 2 Sisters, Viola Shay and Lucille Baker.

Funeral service for Mildred Odell Graham, 85, of Noble, Oklahoma will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 29, 2007 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.

Mildred Odell Graham was born August 2, 1921 in Waurika, Oklahoma the daughter of Franklin Burl and Eula Alta [Doggett] Smith and died June 26, 2007 in Noble.

She graduated from OCW now USAO. Mrs. Graham lived in Lawton from 1948 to 2007. She taught school at Woodrow Wilson Elementary in Lawton.

Mrs. Graham was preceded in death by her husband Edward Lee Graham August 28, 2005.

Survivors include:one son and daughter-in-law: Larry and Dixie Graham of Blanchard; two grandchildren: Steven Graham and wife Peggy of Norman; Becky Bowling and husband Tim of Norman; four great-grandchildren: Lauren, Aubrey, Alex and Catherine; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister: Hazel McCombs of Chickasha; one brother: George Smith of California; Many nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Maye [Jobe] Graham
May 2, 1925 ~ February 7, 2010


Funeral service for Maye Graham, 84, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, February 11, 2010 at the Bible Baptist Church, Chickasha.

Maye Graham was born May 2, 1925 in Ninnekah, Oklahoma to Doc and Donnie Jobe. She was the youngest of 10 children. She died February 7, 2010 in Chickasha.

She attended school at Union Hill and Ninnekah.

During World War II, she worked as a beauty operator in Chickasha.

She married Reid Doss, a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corp, in 1946. Maye and Reid began their family shortly after.

Maye attended Oklahoma College for Women [USAO] in Chickasha and finished her education with a BA in psychology at Sonoma State College in Rhonart Park, California.

The Doss family moved to California where Maye taught elementary school. She pioneered modern education techniques and developed a resource center for gifted students. She retired in 1978.

After moving back to Chickasha, she was an auxiliary volunteer at Grady Memorial Hospital and an active member of Bible Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Merry Chicks Red Hatters Club and the Spring Creek Home Demonstration Club.

She was preceded in death by: Parents, 7 brothers: Avery, Alvin, Johnny, Jack, Grady, Leo and Oscar Jobe, 1 sister: Willie McAfee, Husband of 42 years, Reid Doss, Husband of 12 years, Jim Estes.

Survivors include: Husband: Vernia Graham of the home, 4 children: Daymon Doss and wife, Sally, of California, Jan Doss Williams and husband, Paul, of Arkansas, Curtis W. Doss and wife, Lise, of Texas, R. Lori Doss Wasson of Florida, 1 sister: Dorothy Kelly of Norman, OK, 11 grandchildren: Kerensa Edwards, Gabriel Doss, Raman Doss, Stephen Williams, Paul Reid Williams, Navvab Doss Taylor, Ruhiyyih Doss, Zack Wasson, Jeremiah Wasson, Rebecca Wasson-Thomas, Chelsea Wasson, 7 great grandchildren: Rowan Edwards, Sophia Rose Edwards, Zoe Jane Doss, Micah Owen Doss, Azlan Wasson, Phoenix Aurora Wasson, Malibu Schuch. Many nieces, nephews and other relatives.Memorial contributions may be made to the Bible Baptist Church of Chickasha Building Fund.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Dorothy Imo [Hodge] Graham
October 23, 1926 ~ April 17, 2005


Funeral service for Dorothy Imo Graham, age 78, of Chickasha were held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 20, 2005, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Todd Littleton of the Snow Hill Baptist Church in Tuttle officiated.

Dorothy was born the daughter of Andrew Jackson Hodge and Minerva Rae Henderson Hodge on October 23, 1926, in Adkins, Arkansas. She passed away on April 17, 2005, following a long illness with kidney disease.

Dorothy moved to Coolidge, Arizona as a small girl, and there she met her future husband, Vernia Graham. She was baptized at the First Baptist Church of Coolidge, where she and Vernia were later married in 1946, then moved to Chickasha, Oklahoma. Dorothy was a home maker and helped raise their two sons, Richard and Gary. She was very active in the family service station business. At the time of her death, Dorothy was a member of the College Heights Baptist Church in Chickasha.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her step-mother, four brothers, and three sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Vernia of Chickasha; her sons, Richard and his wife Georganne of Bedford, Texas and Gary and his wife Beverly of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Shirley Toon of Phoenix, Arizona and Sharon Duvall of Yuba City, California, and brother, Nick Hodge of Scottsdale, Arizona.

Interment was in the Fairlawn Cemetery of Chickasha under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home, Chickasha. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Kidney Disease Research.

George Lee Graham

Funeral service for George Lee Graham, 80, of Chickasha will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.

George Lee Graham was born November 18, 1932 in Memphis, Tennessee the son of George L. and Lena (Pvesa) Graham. He died January 3, 2013 in Chickasha.

George and Gala Sue Wilson were married February 25, 1955 in Anadarko.

He was an Insurance Agent with National Life for many years and later managed the bowling alley.

George served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict as a Mess Hall Sergeant . He was an avid bowler, loved to fish and camp. He like to travel to Tennessee to see family and loved playing cards with his son's family on Sunday.

George was a member of the U.S. Bowling Congress.

He was preceded in death by wife, Gala Graham, parents and a sister: Ollie McGarrh.

Survivors include four sons: George R. Graham and Mary Nieto of Chickasha, Michael and Darlene Graham of Chickasha, Ray Dean and Tracy Graham of Chickasha, Gino Graham of Chickasha; a daughter: Brenda and Glynn Richardson of Houston, Texas; five granddaughters: Crystal and Chistopher Kennell of Chickasha, Brianna and Adrian Ramos of Oklahoma City, Jennie Graham of Chickasha, Ashley and Tim Kriegel, Melanie Hart-Mora; three grandsons: Christopher Graham of Chickasha, Joshua Graham of Chickasha, Justin Richardson of Weatherford; Brother-in-law: Edward Wilson and Letha of Ft. Cobb; Sisters-in-law: Wanda and Charles Clark of Cement, Linda Wilson of Chickasha, Pat Banks of Chickasha, Cindy Carnes of Bradley; three great grandchildren, Numerous nieces and nephews, Very special friends: William McDaniel, Jimmy Kirk, Shirley Gabriel, Bart Bingham, Ashley and Tim Kriegel, and Melanie Hart-More.

Funeral service for Gala Sue [Wilson] Graham, 68, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, October 20, 2006 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.

Gala Sue [Wilson] Graham was born March 16, 1938 in Anadarko, Oklahoma the daughter of Leroy and Lottie Irene [Martin] Wilson and died October 18, 2006 in Chickasha.

Gala was head nurse on OB at Grady Memorial Hospital for 35 years, and she worked part time at Shanoan Springs Nursing Home.

She and George L. Graham were married February 25, 1955 in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Gala was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by: parents; one sister: Loretta Frizzel; one brother: Stanley Clark Wilson; sister-in-law: Betty Wilson; brother-in-law; Ray Wilson; nephew: Timothy Hays.

Survivors include: husband: George L. Graham of the home; one daughter and son-in-law: Brenda and Glynn Richardson of Chickasha; four sons and daughters-in-law: George R. Graham and Mary Nieto of Chickasha; Mike and Darlene Graham of Chickasha; Roy and Tracy Graham of Chickasha; Gino Graham of Chickasha; sisters and brothers: Pat Banks of Chickasha; Wanda Clark of Chickasha; Cindy Carnes of Bradley; Linda Wilson of Chickasha; Roy Wilson of Ft. Cobb; Edward Wilson and wife Letha of Ft. Cobb; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
