Gouge, 80, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Chickasha will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 26, 2007, in the First Christian Church. Donna Lee [Brown] Gouge was born May 31, 1926, in Reece, Kansas, the daughter of Lester and Gladys Faye [Trebbe] Brown. She went to be with the Lord on Wednesday March 21, 2007, in Oklahoma City. She moved to Shilder, Oklahoma as a young girl. She attended and graduated from Webb City High School. Donna and Warren Gouge were married on May 17, 1946, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This union blessed them with three children. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and friend. In 1954 she and Warren came to Chickasha where they settled and raised their children. She was a stay at home mom until her children started school, then in 1969 she went to work for the Chickasha Public Schools as a Library Assistant and retired from there in 1982. She enjoyed yard work, knitting, playing bridge, and visiting with her family and friends. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Chickasha and the Friday Night Bridge Club. She was preceded in death by her husband Warren on December 6, 1999; and both parents. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Randy and Sue Gouge, of Edmond and Terry and Pat Gouge, of Bartlesville; daughter and son-in-law: Cindy and Randy McArthur, of Yukon; two sisters and brother-in-law: Twila and Lowell Sides, of Tulsa and Barbara Brown, of Chickasha; brother and sister-in-law: Ray and Barbara Brown, of Fall Brook, California; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. |
