Pearl Nadine [Cummins] Gordon
July 23, 1916 ~ September 3, 2011


Funeral for Pearl Nadine Gordon, age 95, of Chickasha, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, September 8, 2011, at Calvary Baptist Church. Rev. Chuck Patterson will officiate.

Pearl was born the daughter of Benton Benjamin Cummins and Gladys Bola Wykoff Cummins on July 23, 1916 in Verden. She died on September 3, 2011 in Chickasha.

Pearl married John W. Gordon on Oct.r 3, 1932 in Chickasha during the dust bowl. She and J.W. moved to Arizona where they lived in a cotton camp and worked in the cotton fields. Eventually, they moved to New Mexico to continue work in the cotton fields. In the mid 1950's, they moved back to Chickasha where J.W. worked as a carpenter and Pearl raised the children. Pearl also worked as a cook at the Dog Leg Cafe. She and J.W .were married for 55 years. For 20 of those years, they lived at their home near the Grady County Fairgrounds. At age 70, she took her first plane ride to Salt Lake City, Utah.

Pearl was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Senior Citizens Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Benton and Gladys Cummins; two brothers, Andrew and Albert Cummins; one sister, Irene Jennings; her husband, JW Gordon; two sons, George Lee Gordon and Bobby Ray Gordon; and one grandson, Johnny Tucker.

Survivors include daughter: Mary Ellen Hohweiler, Wichita, Kan.; daughter: Della Ann Tuttle & husband Wayne, Salt Lake City, Utah; daughter: Louise Plummer & husband George, Chickasha; daughter Billie Sue Tucker & husband Bud, Wichita, Kan.; brother: Rex Cummins, Chickasha; brother: Ernest Cummins, Cheyenne, Wyoming; 18 Grandchildren, 40 Great-Grandchildren, 31 Great-Great-Grandchildren and one Great-Great-Great-Grandchild.

Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under direction of McRay Funeral Home.

Barbara Jean [ [Denson] Bozarth Gordon
March 6, 1938 ~ June 25, 2009


Funeral services for Barbara Jean Bozarth Gordon, 71, of Chickasha will be held at 1:30 P.M., Saturday, June 27, 2009, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel.

Barbara was born March 6, 1938, in Cushing, Oklahoma, the daughter of Eugene Bayne and Naomi Matlock Denson.

She died June 25, 2009, in Chickasha.

Barbara grew up in Cushing and attended Cushing Public Schools. She later attended and graduated from Nursing School in El Reno, Oklahoma. She worked as a nurse for 34 years before she retired.

She was a people person and she loved helping people. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend.She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She was a member of the Oklahoma Nurses Association and the Full Gospel Church. She was preceded in death by both parents; one son, George Bozarth; one granddaughter, Jessica Bozarth; one great-grandson, Ethan Yandle; one brother, Billy Bayne; one sister, Jo Newlon; and her dear friend, Jo Freeman.

She leaves behind her children: Randy (Janice) Bozarth, of Ninnekah, Loy (Jennifer) Bozarth, of Gainesville, Texas, Troy Bozarth, of Purcell, Wesley (Chris) Freeman, of Chickasha, Jimmie Sue Townley, of Carlisle, Arkansas, Toni (Robert) Maxwell, of Chickasha, Carla Bozarth, of Chickasha, Naomi Rene (Bart) McWilliams, of Rush Springs; seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; her brothers: Tommy Bayne, Melvin Denson, Bob Denson, Mickey Denson; her sisters: Leslie Taylor and Colleen Denson; her dearest friends: Caroline Bray and Vonda White; many nieces, nephews and much extended family.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

Elizabeth "Liz" C. Gordon-Spearman

Graveside service for Elizabeth "Liz" C. Gordon-Spearman, 50, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 3, 2004, at the Fairlawn Cemetery.

Elizabeth "Liz" C. Gordon-Spearman was born March 11, 1953, in Oklahoma, the daughter of Glen L. and Benita (Rivas) Gordon, and went to our heavenly Father God on Monday, March 1, 2004, in Oklahoma City.

She attended St. Joseph's Academy in Chickasha. She married Charles Wayne Spearman. Liz lived in Chickasha most of her life. She died after 28 years of battling brain cancer and recently she was terminally diagnosed with cancer of the kidneys.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Benita Rivas Gordon-LaGrange; grandmother, Patricia Rivas; grandfather, John Rivas; and niece, Carrie Novotny-Waltion.

Survivors include one daughter, Tammy D. Spearman of Russellville, Arkansas; father, Glen L. Gordon of Chickasha; two grandchildren, Tamara Spearman and Travis Spearman both of Russellville, Arkansas; two sisters, Glenda Morris of Moore, Oklahoma and Bridget McKee of Midwest City, Oklahoma; two brothers, William LaGrange of Chickasha and Patrick LaGrange of Arizona; nephews, Shawn and Earon Morris and son, Caden, Kevin Morris and daughter, Katelynn, Adam Morris and Logan McKee; niece, Brittany McKee; many cousins and numerous aunts and uncles. She will always be remembered and loved.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
