She came to Oklahoma at an early age living in Grady County all of her life, with the exception of a year she spent in California. On March 7, 1942, Mary married the love of her life, Norman Gann, in Anadarko, Oklahoma. They had 60 wonderful years together before he preceded her in death in 2002. Mary was very involved in school events, community activities, and in her church, where she taught Sunday school and was a sponsor at Falls Creek for many years. She worked for the (ASCS) Agriculture Stabilization Conservation Service from 1956 to 1969. Since she lived on a farm all of her life, she truly enjoyed working with and helping the farmers of Grady County. She had also worked for the Chamber of Commerce from 1972 to 1984. Mary was an avid bowler and helped organize the Chickasha Women's Bowling Association, serving as president, vice-president, and secretary-treasurer in both league and city offices. She touched the lives of many and enjoyed helping people, especially the elderly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman; both parents; her twin sister, Martha Delk and sister, Nina Sayles; and two brothers, Emmit Coggin and Robert Coggin.
