Abner B. Fletcher
August 22, 1892 ~ March 12, 1963


Funeral services will be held for Abner B. Fletcher, 70, Grady County resident, at 2:00 pm Thursday in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home. Doc Ramsey will officiate.

Fletcher died about 9 am Tuesday in the Sulphur Veterans Hospital where he had been a patient the last several months.

He was born August 22, 1892 on the Fletcher ranch near the Old Fred community in Indian Territory. A farmer-rancher in the Union Hill community most of his life, he was also a veteran of World War I. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Virgie Terry, Route Three, Chickasha; 13 nephews and four nieces.

Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery.

Gertrude [Glasker] Fletcher
September 26, 2001 ~ September 18, 2001


Funeral for Gertrude Fletcher, 86, of Chickasha, Okla., will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 22, 2001, in Shephard Street Christian Church with Rev. Leodis Strong officiating.

Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Fletcher-Jefferson Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Fletcher died September 18, 2001, in Lawton Hospital.

She was born September 26, 2001, in Waco, Texas, to Hess and Marie Glasker.

She came to Chickasha from Waco in 1931.

She was married to Theodore Fletcher. He preceded her in death.

She was formerly employed by Grady Memorial Hospital as a dietary supervisor until her retirement. She was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Chickasha.

Survivors include: two sons, Billy J. Banks and Reford Fletcher, both of Chickasha, and three daughters, Elsie Mason, of Lawton, Okla., Joyce Kepney, of Austin, Texas, and Seleda Page, of Lawton.

Kendall Scott Fletcher
August 30, 1962 ~ October 14,1987


Funeral for Kendall Scott Fletcher will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 20, 1987 in New Hope Baptist church, 1202 Shephard with Rev. John Alexander officiating.

He was born August 30, 1962 in Chickasha the oldest of five children. Kendall was reared in Chickasha and attended Lincoln School and Chickasha High School. As a child he attended New Hope Baptist church.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Lorraine Parker; his step father, Andrew Parker; three sisters, Melonie and Jami Parker of Chickasha, Geni Parker of Oklahoma City; three brothers, Michael Parker of Edmond, Ameil Fletcher and Ronald Robinson of Denver, Colo; his grandmother, Mrs. Gertrude Fletcher of Chickasha; his grandfather Eugene Stewart of Denver, Colo.; several uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Christian Funeral Home.
