Monday, November 17, 2008 Lois Elizabeth [Williams] Ferguson August 9, 1916 ~ November 15, 2008 Funeral service for Lois Elizabeth Ferguson, 92, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, November 18, 2008 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Lois Elizabeth Ferguson was born August 9, 1916 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma the daughter of Ora and Elizabeth [Kite] Williams and died November 15, 2008 in Chickasha. Lois was a graduate of Pauls Valley High School. She and Glen L. Ferguson were married August 7, 1937 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. Her banking career started in Ada, Oklahoma. She movedto Chickasha in 1946 where she was employed at Oklahoma National Bank until her retirement in 1981. Lois was the first female bank officer in the area. Lois was an avid gardener and took pride in her yard. She loved to spend time with her family. She left a wonderful legacy for them. She was preceded in death by: Husband: Glen Ferguson on October 19, 1983Her parents: Ora and Elizabeth Williams; Brothers: Claude, Harry and John Williams. Survivors include a daughter, Glenna Shropshire of Chickasha; a grandson, Jeff Bryant and wife, Amy, of Stillwater, OK; a granddaughter: Katherine Hughes and husband, Jeff, of Midwest City, OK; a sister, Wanda Glover of Chickasha and five great grandchildren, Zachary Bryant and Maggie Bryant of Stillwater and Ethan Ridenour, Blake and Logan Hughes all of Midwest City Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
