November 13, 1987 William McCurry Estes August 10, 1910 ~ December 25, 1975 William McCurry Estes was born August 10, 1910 in Atlanta, Georgia and passed away November 13, 1987. He was preceded in death by hiw wife, Lavada [Young] Estes, of Oklahoma, February 1, 1982, his daughter, Corrine Turner, his two grandsons, Jimmie Turner and Jesse Smith, his parents, Lester and Fannie Estes, his sister, Eunice Kirkpatrick and his sister, Alma McVey, all of Oklahoma. Mr. Estes is survived by nine children; Mae Bellisomi of California; Faye Loring of California; Juanita Smith of Oklahoma; Delbert Estes of Oklahoma; Dolorse Sikes of Oklahoma; James Estes of California; Shirley Campopiano of California; Joy Kidwell of Oklahoma and Lisa Tarpley of Oklahoma; and his sister, Lena Hendricks of Oklahoma; twenty six grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. William was a great husband, wonderful loving father and grandfather. |
February 1, 1982 LaVada E. [Young] Estes May 2, 1918 ~ February 1, 1982 Lavada E. [Young] Estes Was born on May 2, 1918. She passed away on February 1, 1982. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Allie Young of Oklahoma; her daughter, Carol Corrine Turner of Oklahoma; and her grandson Jesse R. Smith of Oklahoma She was survived by her husband, William McCurry Estes; nine children: Mae Bellisomi of California; Fay Loring of California; Juanita Smith of Oklahoma, Delbert Estes of Oklahoma, Dolorse Sikes of Oklahoma; James Estes of California; Shirley Campopiano of California; Joy Kidwell of Oklahoma; and Lisa Tarpley of Oklahoma; twenty seven grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She was once called the backbone of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Chickasha, Oklahoma. LaVada was a very caring loving mother and grandmother. |
