© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Monday, 15 February 2010 Scott Edward "Poon" Emanis February 13, 1979 ~ February 11, 2010 Funeral service for Scott Edward "Poon" Emanis, 30, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 15, 2010, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Scott Edward "Poon" Emanis was born February 13, 1979 in Shreveport, Louisiana and went to be with the Lord on February 11, 2010. Scott had a life time illness with Cystic Fibrosis. Scott overcame the daily challenges of doctors, treatments and illness to live life to the fullest. Scott was quick to smile or crack a joke and always there to lend a helping hand no matter what the situation may have been. The last couple of months he was in and out of the hospital with the best of spirits. He was going to beat his illness, and if you knew Scott, he was a fighter. Rest assured we know Scott has accepted Jesus in his life as his personal Saviour. He was preceded in death by: His grandparents: Elvis Glenn Derr and Mary Juanita Derr-Ryans and Cecil Ryans, 1 uncle: Norman Koehler. Survivors include: Mother: Rejeania Emanis and Al Torralba of Chickasha, Father: Charles Emanis of Camden, AR, 1 brother: Richard Emanis and Angie of Kingston, OK. Survivors of the home include: Uncle Elvis Derr and Aunt Darla Smith, Cousins: Nathan Derr, Brandon Smith and Matt Beller. Other survivors include: Uncle James and Aunt Debbie Derr of Chickasha, Aunt Janie Koehler and Uncle Bill Wheeler of Perkins, OK, Grandpa Doug and Grandma Debra McArthur of Chickasha, Aunt Sharon Derr of Chickasha, Jimmy Everwein and Janice Norris of Chickasha, 3 nephews: Colton and J.J. of Candon, AR, Kamron of Norman, 1 niece: Madison of Chickasha, Cousins: Elvis Derr, Alan Norris, Matt Norris, Janice Norris, Randy Smith and other numerous family and friends. Special friends: Mikey and wife Nancy Everwein. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
