© The Chickasha Daily Express Chickasha, Oklahoma March 8, 1995 page 2A, col 1 Alva Pernell Davis August 7, 1935 ~ March 3, 1995 Funeral services for Alva Pernell Davis, 59, of Cement, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 9, 1995 at the Shepherd St. Christian Church, 802 Shepherd St. in Chickasha with Rev. Robert L. Hunter officiating. Alva Pernell Davis was born August 7, 1935 in Wichita Falls, Texas and died on March 3, 1995. He spent his childhood years in Wichita Falls, Texas and in Cement, Oklahoma. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Anadarko, Oklahoma. He joined the Army in 1956 and received an honorable discharge after two years of service. He was employed by Dahl Ford Davenport, Inc., Davenport, Iowa, White Sands Motor Co., of Almamogordo, New Mexico, and various other car detailing businesses as a detailer in Cement, Fletcher, Cyril and Lawton, Oklahoma. He is survived by his mother, Everda Neal of Davenport, Iowa; two daughters, Wanda LaGale of Wichita Falls, Texas and Patricia Joann Davis; one son, Pernell James Davis of Davenport, Iowa; one sister, Gereldine "Geri" Powell of Tampa, Florida; four brothers, Donald Washington of Cement, Oklahoma. |
