© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma December 18, 2012 Myrtie Mae [Buchanan] Crumm November 11, 1929 ~ December 14, 2012 Funeral service for Myrtie Mae Crumm, age 83, of Chickasha will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Myrtie Mae Crumm was born to Fitch and Lizzie Buchanan on November 11, 1929 in Anadarko. She died on December 14, 2012. Myrtie went to Meridian School in Grady County. Myrtie Buchanan married Eugene Richard Crumm on July 13, 1952. Myrtie and Richard went on to build their home at the home place where they resided until their death. In the home, they raised their four children and also fostered sixty three children over several years. Myrtie and Richard enjoyed their later years which included traveling in their motor home to California and various states including traveling to Canada. The Canada trip was referred to as their best trip. Myrtie was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Richard; son Richard Eugene; grandson Bill Jaques Jr. She was also preceded in death by both parents, six brothers, and five sisters. Myrtie was the last of the Fitch and Lizzie Buchanan family. Myrtie is survived by daughter Rachel Streavel and husband Jerry, son Raymond, and son Jack and wife Glenda. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and Ola Edwards, her oldest living niece who has been a close companion and support for the last several years and was considered another sister. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home. |
