Saturday, February 25, 2017 Ida Dorothy [Lesperance] Couch May 20, 1935 ~ February 25, 2017 Funeral services for Ida Dorothy Couch, 81, of Chickasha, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2017 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Michael Sturgell officiating. Ida Dorothy [Lesperance] Couch was born on May 20, 1935 in Geary, Oklahoma, the daughter of Ira Raymond Lesperance and Iva Earma [Maggard] Lesperance. She died February 25, 2017 in Marlow, Oklahoma. Ida attended school in Collinsville. She had lived in Cement and later, in August 1976, moved to Chickasha. On December 4, 1951, Ida married Gaylord Couch, Sr. They were married for 65 years. She was a homemaker, raising her children and taking care of the home. Ida loved flowers and birds and she enjoyed sewing and cooking. She was preceded in death by both parents, an infant brother, daughter, Karen Morrow, and brother, Dean Lesperance. Survivors include her husband, Gaylord, of the home; daughters, Gail Reinhart and husband, Gordon, of Blanchard; daughter, Jean Duffey of Blanchard; sons, Ivan Couch and wife, Roena, of Chickasha, Gaylord Couch Jr. of Blanchard, and Eldon LaFontaine and wife, Cordia, of Oklahoma City; sister, Wanda Hudson of Collinsville; seventeen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and other extended family and friends. The family would like to express appreciation to Grady Memorial Hospital, Marlow Manor and Lifeline for their help during this time of need. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. |
