Harry Copp, Jr. was born May 2, 1929, and died Monday, June 3, 2002. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma January 6, 2002 Ruby Loyce [Brinkley] Copp January 1, 1930 ~ February 5, 2003 Funeral service for Ruby Loyce Copp, age 73, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, was held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2003, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gary Layman officiated. Ruby was born, the daughter of Jesse Brinkley and Cleo Scott Brinkley, on January 1, 1930, in Brownwood, Texas. She died on Wednesday, February 5, 2003, in Chickasha. Ruby grew up in Texas and married Lloyd W. Copp on June 20, 1948, in Ranger, Texas. In 1954, they moved to Chickasha where Ruby spent the rest of her life. During this time, she worked at Western Electric from 1963 to 1972. She also worked for Hermetic Switch from 1983 until retirement in 1994. Ruby was a homemaker most of her life. She was also a member of the College Heights Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lloyd Copp in 1993, and one grandson, Jason Copp in 1998. Survivors include: daughter: Elaine Ford of Chickasha; son and wife: Lloyd and Janet Copp of Chickasha; granddaughter and husband: Stacey and Rickey Cauthen of Chickasha; granddaughter and husband: DeAnna and Clint Cole of Oklahoma City; granddaughter and husband: Kristy and Scott Worlund of Amber; granddaughter and husband: Jennifer and Allen Layman of Chickasha; seven great grandchildren; sister: Wilma Raney of Bangs, Texas; brother: Billy Brinkley of Ranger, Texas; brother: Don Brinkley of Eastland, Texas; sister: Geraldine Lewis of Bangs, Texas; brother: Rodney Brinkley of Freeport, Texas. Interment was in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Services were under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home. |
