Lee Brown Cooper
August 15, 1896 ~ September 24, 1964


Lee B. Cooper, 68, Route 2, Cement, died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday in Veterans Hospital in Oklahoma City.

Born August 15, 1896 in Pauls Valley, he had lived in the Pleasant Hill community 60 years and was a farmer until his health began to fail a year ago. He had been hospitalized since May 13, 1964.

A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the World War I Barracks and College Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Mamie of the home address; one son, Larry Cooper of Key West, Fla.; one brother, Coleman Dewey Cooper, route one, Blanchard; two half-brothers, Garvin Cooper and George Cooper of Lamesa, Tex.

The Rev. Raymond McDowell will conduct funeral services at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the College Heights Baptist Church.

Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier's Funeral Home.

Mamie Olga [Hays] Cooper
November 8, 1909 ~ October 4, 1984


Funeral for Mrs. Mamie Olga Cooper, 74, of 827 Chickasha Ave., will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 1984 in the chapel of Sevier Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Myers, pastor of the Assembly of God Church of Fletcher, officiating.

She was born November 8, 1909 at Fletcher and died Thursday, October 4, 1984 at her home.

Mrs. Cooper had lived in the Cement area before coming to Chickasha in 1964.

She and Lee B. Cooper were married October 12, 1930 at Rocky Ford. He preceded her in death on September 26, 1964.

She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Community Club and the College Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Larry Cooper of Cyril; five sisters, Hilda Cast of Rush Springs, Spruce McKenna of Alex, Ruby Hill of Ninnekah, Pat Westcott of Glendale, Calif., and Roma Bynum of Siloam Springs, Ark., four grandchidren.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
