Cooper, 61, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, was held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 6, 2002, in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Gary D. Cooper was born May 10, 1940, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the son of Charlie William and Lela Mae [Laudermilk] Cooper, and died Wednesday, April 3, 2002, in Norman, Oklahoma. Mr. Cooper was a life-long resident of Chickasha. He graduated from Chickasha High School. He worked for Tinker Air Force Base for 25 years. He and Sherry Hayes were married June 18, 1966, in Chickasha. Mr. Cooper served in the U.S. Army for 3 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by 1 son, Gary Stephen Cooper, his parents, and 1 brother, C. W. Cooper. Survivors include: His wife: Sherry Cooper, of the home; 1 daughter: Shauna Chan, of Allen, Texas; 1 granddaughter: Lauren, of Allen, Texas. Interment was in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
