George E. Conder
July 22, 1925 ~ November 13, 2017


George Conder, formerly of Comanche and Chickasha, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017 at the Sulphur Veterans Center in Sulphur, Oklahoma at the age of 92. He was born July 22, 1925 in Cloudy, Oklahoma to Charley and Mary [Wheeler] Conder.

George worked in car sales in Chickasha with O.B. Edmonson. He owned George Conder Motor Sales Ford dealership in Comanche, OK and later moved to Rattan, Oklahoma where he farmed. He also worked for Roy Earl Jackson Ford Motor Co. in Antlers, OK.

He served in the United States Air Force. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Countryside Baptist Church of Comanche, OK.

He married to Bernice [Griswold] Conder for 62 years and she preceded him in death and later he married Pat Conder and they were married for 8 years and she preceded him in death.

George is survived by his children:Vival McCarty of Denton, TX; Thurman T.D. Dale Conder of Addington, OK; and Terry Conder and his wife, Tracey, of Calera, OK; Brothers: Elmer Conder and Delmer Conder both of Chickasha, OK; 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren

September 8, 1928 ~ July 22, 2008


Funeral services for Marjorie Bernice Conder will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2008, at the Alva First Baptist Church with Dr. Greg Hook officiating. Interment will be 4:00 p.m. in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha, Oklahoma, under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.

Marjorie Bernice Conder, daughter of the late Leaon Arnold and Vival Gertrude [Davis] Griswold, was born September 8, 1928, at Naples, Oklahoma, and passed away July 22, 2008, at Alva, Oklahoma, at the age of 79 years, 10 months, and 14 days.

Marjorie attended school in California before graduating from Alex High School in Alex, Oklahoma. On May 24, 1947, she was united in marriage to George E. Conder at Burkburnett, Texas. They lived in Silo for many years before moving to Alva in 2005.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cloudy, Oklahoma. She really enjoyed cooking for her family and helping with Masonic Lodge functions. As a devoted mother and grandmother, she enjoyed spending time with her family and watching their activities.

Marjorie is survived by two sons, T. D. Conder and wife, Deborah, of Loco, Oklahoma, and Terry Conder and wife, Tracey, of Alva; one daughter, Vival McCarty and husband, Herbert, of Denton, Texas; five grandchildren, Dustin McCarty and wife, Tracy, of Denton, Texas, Brandi Lipkin and husband, Gary, of Velma, Oklahoma, Jennifer Covington of Loco, Oklahoma, Taleesha Conder of Talahina, Oklahoma, and Tayler Conder of Alva; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Share Hospice.
