Cole, 81, of Chickasha will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30, 1988 in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Cole died on Thursday, January 28, 1988 in Oklahoma City. He was born on December 22, 1906 in Chickasha, Indian Territory, the son of John Cole and Christine High Cole. Cole married the former Margaret Simmons on December 26, 1934 in Fort Smith, Ark. He was a lifetime resident of the Chickasha area and an employee of the Public Service Co. of Oklahoma for 37 years, retiring in 1971. Cole was also a member of the First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ralph Cole. Survivors include his wife, Margaret of the home; one son, John Cole, of Tulsa; three daughters, Virginia Erwin of Oklahoma City, Barbara Wynn of Clifton Colo., Helen Hess of Chickasha; a brother John Cole of Laredo, Texas; a sister, Louise Wells of San Antonio; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Burial wil be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Binyon Funeral Home. |
