Hazel Coddington was born May 3, 1927, in Marlow, Okla., and died on Monday, November 8, 2004, in Chickasha, Okla. Coddington will be held Thursday, November 11, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, will Randy Perry officiating. Hazel Coddington was born May 3, 1927, in Marlow, Oklahoma, the daughter of Burt Townley and Essie Moye Townley. She died Monday, November 8, 2004, in Chickasha. Hazel grew up and attended schools in Marlow and the surrounding area. She received her honorary high school diploma on October 22, 2004. She was a natural born caregiver. She was always looking out for someone. If someone was in need, she was there offering to do whatever she could to help. She was an excellent cook. She enjoyed dancing and visiting all of her friends at the senior citizens hall. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and attended the First Pentecostal Holiness Church. she is preceded in death by both parents, husband, Jim Coddington, and eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law; Barbara and Timothy Wentland, of Chickasha, and Christene and Mike Wilkes, of Las Vegas, Nevada; her biological granddaughter that she adopted as her daughter and son-in-law; Christy and Frank Callahan, of Chickasha; two granddaughters and grandson-in-law; Amanda and Scott Day, of Las Vegas, Nevada, Kelly Wilkes, of Las Vegas, Nevada; one grandson and granddaughter-in-law; Justin and Aida Henager, of Charlotte, North Carolina; one brother, Ike Townley, of Amber; seven great grandchildren and a host of nephews and nieces. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. |
