Alvin M. "Buck" Clements
January 10, 1918 ~ December 8, 2005


Funeral service for Alvin M. "Buck" Clements, age 87, of Ninnekah, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2005, at the Ninnekah First Baptist Church. Rev. Joe Day will officiate.

Alvin M. "Buck" Clements was born the son of Thad Marion Clements and Virginia Jewell Gray Clements on January 10, 1918, in Corum, Oklahoma. He died on December 8, 2005, in Oklahoma City.

Buck graduated from Comanche High School. He attended Cameron College in Lawton for two years then attended Oklahoma A & M where he graduated with a degree in Soil Science. Soon after graduation, he entered the United States Navy and served during World War II. After the war, he worked for the Soil Conservation Service. In 1975, Buck retired with 35 years of service. After retiring, he moved to Ninnekah where he began farming and ranching full time. Buck was a member of the Ninnekah First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Kola Clements Fortune, son, Buddy Clements, and one sister, Glynna Dunn.

Survivors include: Wife: Irene Clements of the home; Son & Wife: Dan & Peggy Clements of Coalgate: Sister: Juhree Hilinski of Anchorage, Kentucky; Five Grandchildren; Three Great-Grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.

Dora Irene [Zachery] Clements
June 15, 1920 ~ December 17, 2010


Funeral service for Irene Clements, age 90, of Coalgate, Oklahoma, will be at2p.m.on Tuesday Dec. 21, 2010, at the Ninnekah First Baptist Church. The Rev. Mike McReynolds will officiate.

Dora Irene Clements was born the daughter of W.O. Zachery and Adelle Mullins Zachery on June 15, 1920 in Durant, Oklahoma. She died on December 17, 2010, in Coalgate.

Irene graduated from Temple High School in Temple, Oklahoma, attended Cameron University and finished her Bachelors degree at OSU.

She earned her Masters Degree at S.W. State University and her Doctorate in Education at OSU. She taught high school in Clinton, Oklahoma for many years and worked for the state vocational department in Stillwater.

After moving to Ninnekah, she was the head of the Home Economics Department at USAO. She lived in the Ninnekah and Chickasha area for over 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alvin "Buck" Clements, one daughter Kola Clements Fortune, one son Buddy Clements and her sister, Dorothy Stuart.

Survivors include her son Dan Clements and his wife, Peggy of Coalgate, numerous Grandchildren, Great-Granchildren and other family.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche. Service will be under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
