© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma April 25, 2010 Minnie Irene [Rollins] Cantrell June 4, 1927 ~ April 24, 2010 Funeral service for Minnie Irene Cantrell, age 82 of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2010, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. James Blalock will officiate. Minnie Irene was born the daughter of John Robert Rollins and Essie Mae Spradlin Rollins on June 4, 1927, in Anadarko, Oklahoma. She died on April 24, 2010, in Chickasha. She married Willie B. Cantrell on December 2, 1945, in Chickasha. Minnie has lived in the Chickasha area most of her life. She was a lifelong member of the First Missionary Baptist Church where she was an active Sunday School teacher. She was lovingly known by everyone at the church as "Granny". Minnie enjoyed hobbies, crafts and painting. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Essie Rollins; husband, Willie B. Cantrell; two brothers, Billie and Robert Rollins; one sister, Jewel Cady. Survivors include: son & wife: Loyd and Judy Cantrell of Ponca City; son: Keith Cantrell of Ardmore; three grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; sister: Rosalie Terry of Chickasha; sister: Leona Terry of California and several nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home. |
