May 12, 1956 ~ March 22, 2009


CHICKASHA - Funeral for Charles "Chuck" Camp, 52, Chickasha, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel, Chickasha, with the Rev. Randall Hill officiating.

Mr. Camp died Sunday, March 22, 2009, in Lawton.

Burial will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha.

He was born May 12, 1956, in Chickasha, to James Calvin Camp and Maggie Henrietta Stamper.

He graduated from Cyril High School and began driving a truck hauling milk for his future father-in-law.

He met Marcia Cook and they married on May 28, 1976, in Chickasha. The couple lived in Cyril for a short time before moving to Chickasha.

He drove a truck transporting Pepsi or milk all of his life. He enjoyed riding and driving classic cars and motorcycles and taking his family on long drives.

Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Debra Camp, and Chris Camp, all of Chickasha; mother-in-law, Marcella Cook, Chickasha; brother and sister-in-law, David and Kim Camp, Cyril; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Verlon Stidham, Chickasha; sister, Margaret "Bunny" Wheeler, Houston, Texas; granddaughter, Roya Lail; grandson, Derrick Camp; and many other loving family and friends including Jeanette Worden and Carol Sellers.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marcia Camp; and his father-in-law, Tom Cook.

Marcia Gayle [Cook] Camp
November 16, 1954 ~ September 14, 2006


Funeral service for Marcia Gayle Camp, age 51, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2006, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Michael Oberlender will officiate.

Marcia Gayle Camp was born the daughter of Thomas J. Cook and Marcella M. McCrea Cook on November 16, 1954, in Chickasha. She died on September 14, 2006, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

She married Charles C. Camp on May 28, 1976, in Chickasha at the First Christian Church by Charles Roberts.

Marcia moved to Chickasha in 1966. Soon after graduating from Chickasha High School, she began working as a lab technician at American Optical. After twenty-five years of service, she retired due to her health.

Marcia was an avid supporter of the Special Olympics and loved to read and travel.

However, her greatest joy was her family to whom she was greatly devoted.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas J. Cook, grandmother, Mary Baggett, and uncle, Buddy McCrea.

Survivors include: husband: Charles C. Camp of Chickasha; son & wife: Thomas & Debi Camp of Chickasha; son: Christopher Camp of Chickasha; mother: Marcella Cook of Chickasha; sister & husband: Carol & Randell Sellers of Lawton; brother & wife: Tom & Darla Cook of Phoenix, Arizona; brother & wife: Bill & Kathy Cook of Terrell, Texas; brother: Gary Cook of Chickasha; grandchildren: Roya and Derrick; numerous nieces & nephews: Zac, Cory, Andy, Tommy, Aaron, Paul, Tiffany, Jason, Josh, Jared, Kyla, Angie, Michelle, Rachel, Mitchell, and Chrystal.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
