© The Chickasha Daily Express Chickasha, Oklahoma July 16, 1997, page 2A Evelyn Ruth [Weyant] Byrum April 10, 1922 ~ July 14, 1997 Funeral services for Evelyn Ruth Byrum, 75, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 1997 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Evelyn Ruth Byrum was born April 10, 1922 in Abilene, Kan., the daughter of Gilbert and Ester [Messing] Weyant, and died Monday, July 14, 1997 in Chickasha. She and Max Byrum were married Februsry 24, 1949 in Northville, Mich. He preceded her in death in 1987. Mrs. Byrum was a member of the Grady County Election Board for 20 years. She worked for the First National Bank for three years and was a member of the Calvary Baptist church for 40 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Robert Max (Bob) Byrum; and one brother Rudy Weyant. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Jayne and Ross Largent of chickasha; one son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Dorothy Byrum of Chickasha; two sisters, Agnes Keller and Harriet Weyant both of Winfield, Kan.; six grandchildren, tow great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
