© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Monday, March 12, 2007 Wednesday, March 14, 2007 Arzzie Lee [Sunthomas] Burdex April 12, 1922 ~ arch 7, 2007 Funeral for Arzzie Lee Burdex, 84, of Chickasha, will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 13, 2007 in the Church of the Living God, Chickasha, Oklahoma with Elder Delbert Allen, Sr., Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Fletcher-Jefferson Funeral Chapel of Chickasha, Oklahoma. Mrs. Burdex was born April 12, 1922 in Carthage, Texas to Willie Palmer and John H. Sunthomas. She died on March 7, 2007 at her home following a sudden illness. Arzzie met and married Willie Harrison Burdex in 1942. To this union there were three children born. William Tyrone Burdex, Aaron Bernard Burdex Sr. and Steve Edgar Burdex Sr. Arzzie was a member of The Church of the Living God, P.G. of T. She was active in the General Mission and worked in other areas of the church. Arzzie worked many jobs; N.Y.A. Government Program, The Egg Plant, the Concentration Camp, The Dixie Store, Luigi's Restaurant, Chickasha Cotton and Oil and she retired from Pet Milk Incorporated. She was preceded in death by both her parents; her husband, Willie (aka Bill) Burdex; two sons, (Infant Son) William T. Burdex and Steve E. Burdex; and her brother, John E. Morgan. She leaves to cherish her memories, her son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Helen Burdex, Sr.; a special daughter-in-law, Debra Burdex; extended family, Monica Espiseto; Jessie Burdex; Wanda Bittner; Brenda Connors; Kitty Nelson; Wiliam Burdex; Juanita Gaddis-Montgomery; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren; a host of niece's, nephews, cousins and friends. |
