© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma December 9, 2010 Betty L. "Boots" Brown May 15, 1931 ~ December 6, 2021 Betty L. "Boots", of OKC, passed away late Monday evening, Dec. 6, 2010 at Baptist Village Retirement Center in NW OKC. She was 79 years old. Betty or "Boots" as she was lovingly called by friends and acquaintances is survived by her husband of 56 years, Johnny Brown; children, Randy and Linda Brown of Ocala, FL, Rick and Elaine Brown, Reggie and Diane Brown, and Tina Brown all of OKC and Robbie and Jacque' Brown of Eldon, MO; 16 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Betty is a native of OK. She was born on May 15, 1931 in Maud, OK. She was the 1949 Football Homecoming Queen of Chickasha High School, an avid Copper Cookware collector, crochet master, wonderful mother, acute business woman, superb cook and homemaker who lived most of her life in OKC. Betty was the faithful friend, companion and number one supporter and advisor of her husband Johnny through a highly successful sales career spanning from the mid-1960s until their retirement. Viewing will be Thursday and Friday from 4-8 PM with the family greeting friends from 5-7 PM on Friday. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010 at the Vondel Smith's South Colonial Chapel. Graveside will follow at 4:00 PM at Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, OK. The Brown family would like to extend their greatest thanks to the staff at the Baptist Village in OKC for the incredible amount of love and care shown to Johnny and Betty during their time of need! |
