© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma July 19, 2001 Betty Belle [Hubbard] Brand May 22, 1920 ~ July 17, 2001 Funeral service for Betty Belle Brand, 81, of Amber, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 21, 2001, at the Epworth United Methodist Church. Betty Belle Brand was born May 22, 1920, in Grady County, south of Amber, Oklahoma, the daughter of John and Lillian (Willson) Hubbard, and died Tuesday, July 17, 2001, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Betty and Jess Willard Brand were married December 24, 1938, in Noble, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1990. She worked as a salesperson at J.C. Penney for many years. Betty was a member of the WSCS and Eastern Star. She was a member of ABWA and received the "Woman of the Year" award in 1972. She was also chairman of the Hemophilia Foundation. Betty was also preceded in death by: 1 son: Roy Dean Brand, her parents and brothers. Survivors include: 3 daughters: Beth Diedrick of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Linda McClung of Chickasha, Oklahoma, Mary Martin and husband, Jim, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 1 sister: Marjorie Paddack of Lindsay, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren: Dawn Pitynski and husband, Rich, Stacy Diedrich, Don Diedrich and wife, Angie, Todd Marshall and wife, Audry, Doug Marshall, Shane Martin and wife, Linda; 4 great grandchildren: Dori Pitynski, Drake Pitynski, McKenna Martin and Mason Martin; numerous nieces and nephews. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hemophilia Foundation. |
