© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma April 27, 2005 Benjamin Andrew Blunt October 29, 1924 ~ April 23, 2005 Benjamin Andrew Blunt was born on October 29, 1924 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Clarence and Lillie Bell Blunt. He was the oldest of 7 children. Benjamin served in the United States Army for three years. In 1996 he retired from Poag Grain. He departed this life on Saturday, April 23, 2005. He is preceded in death by his father, two brothers and daughter Bennie Jean Bennett. He is survived by his children Jacqueline Lewis, Clarence Blunt, Curtis Blunt, Mishelle Blunt, Stanley Burgess, Boris Moore, Doris Moore, Ryland Moore, Kent Moore and Bennie Lee Dean. As well as by grandchildren: Ray, Little H. John, Jamelia, Alton, Toby, Vince, Samaries, Lanceston, Avery, Gabrielle, April, LaToya, Marcus, Frank, Jr., Brandon, Julius, Ronjé, C. J., Cody, Derrick, Dedrick, and Denisha. Service will be held at the Church of the Living God P.G. & T. located at 827 S. First Street, Chickasha, OK at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 28th, 2005. Rev. Johnny Moore will be officiating. Viewing will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the Church of the Living God. Johnny Moore, officiating. Benjamin Andrew Blunt died Saturday, April 23, 2004. Burial with military honors will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, in Chickasha, under the direction of Howard-Harris Funeral Services, Lawton. Benjamin Andrew Blunt was born October 29, 1924 to Clarence and Lillie Bell Blunt in Chickasha, Oklahoma. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Benjamin A. Blunt was employed by the Railroad as a porter having lived in Utah, Colorado, Michigan, and Washington. He settled awhile in Altus, Oklahoma where he was employed at the cotton mill, prior to moving back to Chickasha, in 1961. He is preceded in death by his father, two brothers and daughter, Bennie Jean Bennett. Survivors include his mother, Lillie Bell Blunt, his children, Jacqueline Lewis, of Leesville, LA, Clarence Blunt, of Altus, Curtis Blunt, of Corpus Christi, and Bennie Lee Dean. |
