Elgeva [Bartholomew] Bellah
June 4, 1911 ~ December 29, 2005


Elgeva Bartholomew Bellah, 94, of Chickasha, OK, died December 29, 2005 in Chickasha. She was born June 4, 1911 in Ryan, OK, to Eugene and Emma Bartholomew.

She began her career as an office nurse for Dr. Wesley Davis in Chickasha and later worked at the Cotton Compress and part-time at Lee's Casuals.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chickasha.

She was very active in china painting, ceramics, and crocheting. She also beloned to three bridge clubs.

She was married in 1932 to John D. Bellah who preceded her in death in 1976 after 44 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her parents and 5 sisters.

She is survived by her daughter Louise B. Moss of Chickasha, one sister Janet Bartholomew of Oklahoma City, 3 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.

A private family service will be held with interment at Fairlawn Cemetery.
