© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Friday, June 1, 2007 Juanita Jo [Hayden] Beatty October 16, 1918 ~ May 28, 2007 Funeral for Juanita Jo Beatty, 88, of Chickasha will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, June 2, 2007 at First Baptist Church, Chickasha located at First and Dakota. Pastor C. Eugene McCarrell will officiate. Mrs. Beaty died on May 28, 2007 in Chickasha, Oklahoma following a lengthy illness. She was born October 16, 1918 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Juanita was married to Rev. E.C. Beatty in 1949 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Mrs. Beatty employed by Chickasha Public Schools as an elementary school teacher for a number of years. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of Chickasha, president of Oklahoma Baptist State Women's Convention, taught in the Chickasaw District and the OBSC State Congress of Christian Education were she was a Southern Regional Youth Director. Juanita was a Volunteer worker for Grady Memorial Hospital, a member of the Chickasha Literacy Board and Board Member of Chickasha Public Library. Survivors: one daughter, Ruth Rook and husband Antwine Rook, Sr. of O'Fallon, Illinois; five brothers, Howard, Lawrence, and Edgar Hayden all of Chickasha; Wayne Hayden of Berkley, California; Williard Hayden of Albuquerque, New Mexico; four sisters, Clara McCoy of Chickasha; Wanda Davis and Arvella Hayden both of Oakland, California; Johnetta Carter of Tacoma, Washington; two grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Burial will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Fletcher-Jefferson Funeral Chapel.of Tacoma, Washington; two grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. |
