Funeral service for Leslie E. Baty, age 89, of Chickasha, is pending with McRay Funeral Home.

Mr. Baty was born December 29, 1915. He died February 20, 2005.

Services are under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.

Funeral service for Leslie E. Baty, age 89, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2005, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Elder Glen Rooker will officiate.

Lelsie E. Baty was born the son of Lon Baty and Della Russell Baty on December 29, 1915, in rural Chickasha, Oklahoma. He died February 20, 2005, in Chickasha.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.

Leslie Earl Baty

Funeral service for Leslie E. Baty, age 89, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2005, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Elder Glen Rooker will officiate.

Lellie E. Baty was born the son of Lon Baty and Della Russell Baty on December 29, 1915, in rural Chickasha, Oklahoma. He died February 20, 2005, in Chickasha.

Leslie grew up in the Cement area. He married Beatrice Grissom on March 27, 1937, in Chickasha. Leslie worked for the Ohio Oil Company. In 1950, they moved to Eureka, Kansas. They moved back to Chickasha in 1955 and Leslie continued working for the Marathon Oil Company, formerly Ohio Oil Company, until retiring in 1978. He loved fishing, water skiing, woodworking, and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Harold and Melvin Baty. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice, on October 22, 2003, and son-in-law, Robert King on October 3, 2003.

Survivors include his son, Lonnie Joe Baty of Chickasha; daughter, Patricia G. King of Piedmont; sister, Mattie Carter of Noble; grandson, John King of Piedmont; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.

Beatrice [Grissom] Baty
April 5, 1917 ~ October 22, 2003


Graveside funeral service for Beatrice Baty, age 86, of Chickasha, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2003, in the Fairlawn Cemetery.

Elder Glen Rooker of the Primitive Baptist Church of Tuttle will Officiate.

Beatrice was born the daughter of Joseph Melton Grissom and Mary Francis Little Grissom on April 5, 1917, in Sebastian County, Arkansas. She died October 22, 2003, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
