© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Wednesday, January 4, 2006 Kristofor Syms Bates October 24, 1981 ~ January 1, 2006 Kristofor Syms Bates, 24, resident of Independence, Kansas and former resident of Bartlesville, died Sunday at Independence, Kansas. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Joe Dan Fowler officiating. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery at Chickasha, Oklahoma at 4 p.m. Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial has been established and those who wish to make a contribution in memory of Kristofor may do so to: First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1080 Bartlesville, Oklahoma 74005. Kristofor was born October 24, 1981 at Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Jerry Christopher and Donita Kay [O'Briant] Bates. He was raised and received his education in Bartlesville, graduating from Bartlesville High School in 2000. He attended N.E.O. A & M Junior Colege at Miami, Oklahoma, graduating in 2002 with an Associates Degree. Kristofor then attended Oklahoma State University at Stillwater for a year. He was employed at Mercrusier Motor Company at Stillwater for three years before moving to Independence, Kansas where he was employed at Charloma Plastics Company. Kristofor was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bartlesville. Survivors include his parents, Jerry and Donita Bates; one brother, Todd Kyle Bates; one sister, Kathren "Katie" Bates; his paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Donald O'Briant of Chickasha, Oklahoma and many aunts, uncles and cousins. |
