Barrington, 75, of Ninnekah, will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Parkview Christian Church with Josh Abbott officiating. Jimmie C. Barrington was born on August 3, 1940 in Marlow, Oklahoma to Glen Barrington and Mary Ellen [McKeever] Barrington. He passed from this life at his home in Ninnekah, Oklahoma surrounded by family on March 1, 2016. Jimmie grew up on the family farm, the third of six children. He attended and graduated from Ninnekah Public Schools in 1958. Following graduation, Jim began his long career of truck driving. He also worked many years in the oilfield as a driller. He later farmed and raised cattle. Jimmie had recently retired from cattle hauling due to health reasons. Jim married Freda Dennis on July 27, 1973 in Gainesville, Texas, and they were married for 42 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Mary Ellen Barrington and one brother Don Barrington. Jimmie is survived by his wife Freda, of the home; three sons and their wives; Kenny and Mary Barrington of Chickasha; Lyndel and Cheri Loman of Dill City and Jimmie and Shelly Barrington of Chickasha; sisters, Rosa Lea Morris and her husband Ron, Mary Sill and her husband John, Shirley Montgomery and Glenda Trujillo and her husband C.D.; grandchildren, Aschley Tuck and her husband Derek, Krystin Ridley and her husband Traycer, Taylor ,Jessica and Michael Barrington, Dalton and Dylan Johnson; great-grandchild, Waylyn Tuck; other extended family and friends. Services and interment in Fairlawn Cemetery are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. |
