© The Tuttle Times Tuttle, Oklahoma November 24, 2004 May 14, 1937 ~ November 19, 2004 June [Mitchum] Marrow went home to be with the Lord November 19, 2004 in the presence of the family she cherished. She was born May 14, 1937 in Minco, Oklahoma. She attended grade school at Parrish Hill in Minco and then graduated from Minco High School. She attended OBU and USAO formerly OCW. She married Gene Marrow, September 03, 1957. They lived in Oklahoma City, Mustang, Carnegie, and Elk City before retiring in Hinton in 1994. Prior to her retirement she spent many hours assisting her husband in managing their boat dealership, Gene's Fin and Feather Marine in Elk City. She filled her life with the activities of her family. She loved watching her grandson play baseball, fishing with her grandsons, and cooking and sewing with her granddaughters. By her words and actions she was a great encourager to everyone she met. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hinton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Alice Mitchum and grandson Angelo Marrow. She is survived by her husband, Gene Marrow of the home; son, Ezra Marrow and wife Briana of Loveland, Colorado; daughter Melisa Zimmerman and husband Steven of Lookeba, OK; son Mike Marrow of Ft. Collins, Colorado, nine grandchildren, five sisters: Jean Raney and husband Bob of Overton, Nebraska, Jane Garrett of Tuttle, OK, Vivian Morrison of Norman, OK, Betty Kinder and husband Kenneth of Minco, OK, Martha Graham of Moore, OK; two brothers, Charles Mitchum of Midwest City, OK, Troy Mitchum and wife Dortha, of Dibble, OK and a large and treasured extended family. Services were held at the First Baptist Church, Monday November 22, 2004, 2:00 pm at Hinton, Oklahoma with Rev. Scott Hamilton officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery Minco, OK under the direction of Hinton-Turner Funeral Home in Hinton, Oklahoma. Family request Memorial donations to the American Cancer Society. |
