© Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Enid, Oklahoma November 2008 April 16, 1948 ~ November 2, 2008 The funeral service for Janell Steffen Mahan, age 60, will be held, Thursday, November 6, 2008 at 10 am at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Larry Hatfield will officiate. Burial will be at 2:00 pm at the Evergreen Cemetery, Minco, OK. Janell was born April 16, 1948 in Chickasha, OK, minutes after her twin sister, Wanelle, to Clyde and Alees Ventris and died peacefully in her home in Enid on Sunday, November 2, 2008. She graduated from Marlow High School in 1966. She received her cosmetology license in 1967. She moved to Enid in 1972, where she worked for many physicians. She received her certificate in Medical Assisting in 1981, and worked her way from receptionist to office manager. She also served as church secretary, and worked tirelessly raising her family. She graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design and in 1996 received a Master's Degree in the same. During her studies, she travelled internationally including her favorite trips to Paris and to Africa where she volunteered her time to help the less fortunate. Surviving are her husband, Roy G Mahan of Enid, OK; brother, Ray Ventris of Minco, OK; two sisters Gail Bush of Chickasha, OK and Wanelle Wilson of Midwest City; two sons, Shane Clark of Enid, OK and Kurt Clark of Edmond, OK; two grandchildren, Franklin William Clark and Katherine Alees Clark, both of Edmond, OK. Also survived by stepchildren, Mark and Debbie Gardner of Edmond, OK, Randy and Lori Mahan of Wichita, KS and Brad and Shelley Graham of Argyle, TX; also grandchildren, Christian Gardner, Ashley Flowers, Amber Gardner, Taylor Mahan, Conner Mahan, Garrett Graham, Owen Graham, and Jack Graham. She was preceded in death by her parents and step daughter, Sharon Mahan. Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home as custodian of the funds.
