Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco. Travis H. Jolly, 88 of Minco were held Tuesday, July 18, 2006, 10 am at the First Baptist Church of Minco with Rev. Bob Denny of Oklahoma City officiating. Travis H. Jolly was born November 6, 1917 at Lawton to Jesse and Gladys (Davis) Jolly and died Saturday, July 15, 2006 at Chickasha. He lived in and around the Minco community all of his life. After graduating high school joined the military served in the United States Navy during WWII on the destroyer U.S.S. Bancroft. He married Thelma Johnson on July 30, 1935 at Anadarko and would have been married 71 years. He owned and operated a farm and dairy farm until his retirement. Mr. Jolly was a member of the First Baptist Church in Minco where he served as a Deacon and Sunday school teacher. Mr. Jolly was preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Gladys Jolly and a younger sister Patsy Jean Wermske. He is survived by his wife Thelma of the home in Minco; one son and daughter-in-law: Jerry and Dianna Jolly of Las Vegas, Nevada; one daughter and son-in-law: Sondra and Keith Lindsey of Minco; one brother: Lester Jolly of Minco; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Minco under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco. |
