Rev. Sam Scott, of First Baptist, will officiate. Irene Maudie Guthery was born November 8 1912, at Detroit, Texas, and died on Saturday, April 29, 2002, at Chickasha, Okla. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Minco, under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco. © The Tuttle Times Tuttle, Oklahoma May 10, 2002 November 8 1912 ~ April 29, 2002 Services for Irene Guthery, 89, of Minco were held Tuesday, April 23, 2002, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Minco with Rev. Sam Scott officiating. She died Saturday, April 20 at Chickasha. Irene was born November 8, 1912 in Detroit, Texas to Finas and Josie [Chesier] Weddle. She had been in the community for 77 years, was a homemaker and worked as a nurses aid at the Tuttle Care Center for 12 years and attended the Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ordra Young Guthery; her son, Dory Gene Guthery; two brothers, Cecil Weddle and Cornelious Weddle; and one sister, Lizzie Weddle. Irene is survived by: two sons and one daughter-in-law; Doyle Guthery of Minco, and Bob and Annie Guthery of Minco; three grandchildren, Jana Kuhlman of Garber, Stacy Wehling and husband Billy of Piedmont, and Bobbi Jo Merritt and husband Robbie of Minco; 10 great grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home in Minco. |
