September 23, 1907 ~ February 19, 2004 Funeral services for Flora Ann [Pinkston] Davis, 96, formerly of Minco, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2004, at Minco First Baptist Church. Rev. Jim Butler, of Village Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Okla., will officiate. Flora Ann [Pinkston] Davis was born September 23, 1907, at Seminole, Okla., and died on Thursday, February 19, 2004, in Edmond, Okla. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Minco, under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco. September 23, 1907 ~ February 19, 2004 Funeral services for Flora Ann [Pinkston] Davis, 96 former Minco resident were held Monday, February 23, 2004, 2:00 p.m. at the Minco First Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Butler of the Village Baptist Church in Oklahoma City officiating. Ms. Davis was born September 23, 1907 at Seminole, Okla. to Mack and Roseanne [Helphrey] Pinkston and died Thursday, February 19, 2004 at Edmond, Oklahoma. She had lived in the Minco community since 1909 and graduated from Minco High School in 1926 where she lettered in Varsity Basketball. She married Lloyd Davis in 1929. Ms. Davis was a member of the Minco First Baptist Church, and Naomi Sunday School Class. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Eastern Star. She attended Hills Business College in Oklahoma City. Ms. Davis was a member of the Minco Senior Citizens and always assisted and cooked for the Minco High School 4-H and FHA and football games when her children attended school. She was recognized for her pastries. Ms. Davis was preceded in death by her parents: Mack and Rosa Pinkston; her husband: Lloyd Davis on 9-13-1968; two sisters: May Pinkston and Lora Kuhlman; four brothers: George, Walter, Clarence and Tommy Pinkston; one son-in-law: Leonard Bruner; two nephews: Bill and Mike Pinkston; and one niece: Leota Turner. She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law: Rose Mary and Robert Lakin of Edmond, Patsy Bruner of Tulsa; one son and daughter-in-law: Dennis and Loretta Davis of Bethany; five grandchildren: Will Davis, Daron Davis, Pam Davis-Boswell, Paul Lakin and Patrick Bruner; five great grandchildren: Amanda Davis, Courtney Davis, Cameron Boswell, Dylan Boswell and Cole Ryan Lakin. Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery of Minco under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco. |
