September 25, 1917 ~ June 19, 2005 Funeral services for Dimple Elizabeth Carrell, 87 of Minco were held Tuesday, June 21, 2005, 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Minco with Rev. Sam Scott of the First Baptist Church of Minco and Rev. Larry Harris of the First Assembly of God Church in Tuttle officiating. Dimple Elizabeth Carrell was born September 25, 1917, three miles West of Minco to Harry and Iona [Britton] Howery and died Sunday, June 19, 2005 at her home in Minco. She lived in the Pocasset, Minco and Tuttle communities all of her life. She married Lloyd O. Carrell on April 26, 1947 at Henrietta, Texas. She worked as Rosie the Riveter at Douglas Aircraft during WWII and served as the Minco City Clerk from 1961-1971. She enjoyed baking, cooking, playing cards, reading, gardening and sewing and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Minco. Dimple was preceded in death by her parents: Harry and Iona Howery; husband: Lloyd O. Carrell on August 27, 2002; two sisters: Delores Davis and Monafae South; one brother: Charles Howery; two daughters: Shirley Park and Barbara Whitlock; one son-in-law: Jack Whitlock; one grandson: Chuck Drummond; one sister-in-law: Leta Faye Carrell; two brothers-in-law: Joe Davis and Doyle Morris. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Candy and Don Graham of Piedmont; one son-in-law: Tommy Park of Tuttle; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Clarence and Charlene Barr of Minco; two brothers-in-law: Glen Carrell and Leonard South both of Minco; two sisters-in-law: Nell Howery of Tuttle and Bobbie Morris of Albuquerque, New Mexico; eight grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 17 great great grandchildren.
