Jacquelyn "Jacquie" Rose [Koerner] Brown
April 3, 1953 ~ February 8, 2007


Funeral service for Jacquelyn "Jacquie" Rose Brown, 53, of Pocasset, Oklahoma will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 12, 2007 at the First Missionary Baptist Church of Pocasset.

Jacquelyn "Jacquie" Rose Brown was born April 3, 1953 in Chickasha, Oklahoma the daughter of Marvin and Berniece [McDaniel] Koerner and died February 8, 2007 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Jacquie graduated from Amber-Pocasset High School in 1971 as Valedictorian. Jacquie and Gerald Mac Brown were married August 28 following graduation.

After their marriage, they lived in Stillwater for a short time and then moved to Broken Bow. After that, Jacquie and her family lived in seven different states over 20 years.

During this time, she was a housewife, mom and teache's aid, but her true love was working with children in choir and various children's ministries at churches in each community they lived in. Church and children were her true missions in life!

She was preceded in death by: two brothers: Gerald Don Koerner; Marvin Joe Koerner.

Survivors include: Husband: Gerald Mac Brown of the home; two sons: Jeromy Eugene Brown and wife Kelli of Pocasset; Ryan Brent Brown and wife Rebecca of Chickasha; one daughter: Amanda Lyn Moore of Pocasset; Grandchildren: Sarah Elizabeth Brown of Chickasha; Chandler Gabriel Moore of Pocasset; Jacob Ryan Brown of Chickasha; Kenan Nathaniel Moore of Pocasset; Brooke Lynn Utsler Brown of Pocasset; Parents: Marvin and Berniece Koerner of Pocasset; one sister: Kelsey Treadaway and husband David of Pocasset; Mother-in-law: Glennilis Brown of Pocasset; three brothers-in-law: Roy Lee and Sue Brown of Norman, Oklahoma; Larry and Annetta Brown of Morristown, New Jersey; Glenn and Patti Brown of Dallas, Texas; 10 nieces and nephews living across the nation.

Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Minco, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Missionary Baptist Church of Pocasset, children's ministries.
