Graveside services for Mellie Marie Mackey Barber, 91, of Minco, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2004, at Evergreen Cemetery in Minco. Rev. Clyde Womack, of El Reno, Okla., will officiate.

Mellie Marie Mackey Barbar was born Nov. 2, 1912, in Alex, Okla., and died on Thursday, June 24, 2004, in El Reno.

Services are under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco.

Mellie Marie [Mackey] Barber

Graveside services for Mellie Marie Mackey Barber, 91 of Minco were held Saturday, June 26, 2004, 2 p.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco with Rev. Clyde Womack of El Reno officiating under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home in Minco.

Mellie Marie Mackey Barber was born November 2, 1912 at Alex, Oklahoma to William Wesley and Fannie Emaline [Chamber] Mackey and died Thursday, June 24, 2004 at El Reno.

Ms. Barber had lived in the community most of her life and graduated from Minco High School in 1931. She was a sales clerk at various shops in Minco. She married John Samual Alden Barber on November 2, 1934 at Kingfisher.

She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Fannie Mackey; her husband: John Barber on 8-17-1982; one brother and sister-in-law: Lee and Ines Mackey; one daughter-in-law: Doreen Barber; one Great Granddaughter: Lindsey Mockabee.

Ms. Barber is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: John Bill and Nancy Barber of Minco; two daughters and one son-in-law: Judy and Tommy Ridge of Minco and Janice Wariner of Del City; one brother and sister-in-law: Clifford and Bernadine Mackey of Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren: Smokey McCarthey, Kelly Mockabee, Shelly Kennedy, Glenna Brassfield, Sandy Merveldt, Charley Ridge, Brett Barber and Janet Atwood; fourteen Great Grandchildren: Cody Kennedy, Jordan Mayes, Kyra Brothers, Matthew Mockabee, Megan McCarthey, Chase Brassfield, Britney Brassfield, London McCarthey, Charla Ridge, Trevor Brassfield, Tanner Ridge, Jennifer Merveldt, Dylan Mockabee, Jessica Merveldt; one Great Great Granddaughter: Cheyenne Brothers.
