Christopher Columbus Carmichael

C. C. Carmichael Funeral Services Conducted Sunday

Funeral services for Christopher C. Carmichael, age 73, were conducted from the Brown Funeral chapel Sunday afternoon and interment occurred in the Brushy Creek cemetery southeast of Amber.

Mr. Carmichael formerly lived in the community near Amber and was making his home at Texas and Tenth street in Chickasha at the time of his death Sunday morning early.

He is survived by his wife, six daughters and one son; Mrs. Sammie Jackson, Mrs. Bella Daniels and W. A, Carmichael of El Dorado and Misses Fannie, Claudia, Jennie, and Annie of Chickasha, a brother and four sisters living in Texas.


Note:

Children: William Alexander, Frances Isabel, Zula Tressie, Josephine Claudia, Birdie Ethel, Mary Jennie, Della Christi, Sarah Houston "Sammie", Anna Fannie Belle.

Caroline Houston [Hockaday] Carmichael

To Hold Service In City Thursday

Funeral services for Mrs. Houston Carmichael, age 76, are to be conducted at 1:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon from the Brown Funeral Home, with S. L. Cole of Oklahoma City in charge.

Burial will be in the Brushy Creek cemetery, southeast of Amber.

Mrs. Carmichael died at 9:30 o'clock this morning at her home, 826 South Fourteenth street, following an illness of about 15 years.

She had been a resident of this city since 1919, her husband C. C. Carmichael having died here several years ago.

Mrs. Carmichael was born August 17, 1858 in Waco, Texas.

Surviving relatives include six daughters, Mrs. T. T. Daniels and Mrs. Lige Jackson of Eldorado, Okla., and Fannie, Claudia, Jennie and Annie of this city and one son, W. A. Carmichael of Eldorado, Okla.
