© B. G. Boydsten Funeral Home Lindsay, Oklahoma September 2006 May 17, 1924 ~ September 24, 2006 Carl Edmond Stephenson left this life and went to be with his Heavenly Father on September 24, 2006. He was born on May 17, 1924, in Bradley, Oklahoma. He was the son of Edgar A. and Goldie Stephenson. Carl had lived in and around the Bradley area all of his life. He was a farmer and a rancher until retirement. He married Lee Blankenship on September 17, 1946 in Alex, Oklahoma. Carl proudly served his country during WWII. He enjoyed watching TV and spending time with his family. Carl was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bradley, Oklahoma. Lee preceded Carl in death on March 18, 2005. Carl is also preceded in death by his parents and one son Curtis Stephenson. He is survived by his daughter, Pat and husband Earl Cox of Bradley, Oklahoma and one son, Wesley and wife Cheryle Stephenson of Binger, Oklahoma, and one sister, Lois Miller of Ft. Worth, Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Melea Hughes of Rush Springs, Oklahoma, Aaron Cornforth of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Janice Akright of Edmond, Oklahoma, Faith Carney of Fitch, Texas, Buddy Cox of Lindsay, Oklahoma, and Tammy Johnston of Lindsay, Oklahoma and 17 great-grandchildren. Services for Carl will be held on Wednesday September 27 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Bradley, Oklahoma and interment will be at the Bradley Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of B. G. Boydston Funeral Home in Lindsay, Oklahoma. |
