October 2021 Roger Dale Riggle August 29, 1937 ~ October 26, 2021 Roger Dale Riggle of Moore, Oklahoma, passed away from this life on October 26, 2021, at the age of 84. Roger was born in Lexington, Oklahoma to Heber and Ruth Riggle [Rogers] on August 29, 1937. Roger made a career for himself as a professional truck driver, retiring from the Dolese company in 1999 after over 25 years of service. Mr. Riggle was a longtime member of the Moore Masonic Lodge #539, as well as being an active member of the First Baptist Church of Moore. Roger enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved children, and Roger was wonderful with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom he adored. He liked cooking out and barbequing, and he was a talented chef, especially when it came to smoked meat. He also loved being outdoors and going fishing, and Roger's fish fries were legendary. Later in life, he put his talent to good use, handmaking beautiful walking sticks and canes that he then gifted to his family and friends. Roger made over 100 canes in total, some of which are sure to become precious family heirlooms. He will be remembered by many and missed dearly by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his mother and father. Ruth and Heber Riggle, and three brothers, Leroy Riggle, Doyle Gene Riggle, and Raymond [Sandy] Riggle. Roger is survived by his loving wife, Betty Riggle; his children, daughters Donna Choate and husband Terry, Christie Riggle and her family, and son Ronnie Riggle and his family; grandchildren Dusty Choate, Kyle Choate and wife Jamie, and Chris Choate; great-grandchildren Presly, Cambry, and Kensington Choate; one sister, Alma Baumgartner; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. |
