James "Chief" Keel
July 6, 1934 ~ January 8, 2000


James Keel was born July 6, 1934, at Only to Lewis and Zola Keel and died Saturday, January 8, 2000, at age 65.

He was a resident of Watonga for 34 years, where he was a drilling superintendent. He Attended Only Schools, and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Watonga.

He Married Sharon Kay Overton at Vandalia, Ill., on August 20, 1960.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Kay, Watonga; two sons, Jerome Keel and Jason Lee Keel, both of Watonga; two daughters, Jane Keel Shook, Plano Texas, and Ronna Keel, Watonga; four granddaughters; five brothers, David Keel and Dale Keel, both of Yukon, Larrell Keel of Chickasha, Douglas Keel of Norman and Stanley Keel of Asheville NC and five sisters.
