© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Thursday May 4, 2006 Edgar L. Hearon June 24, 1917 - May 1, 2006 Edgar L. Hearon, 88, died May 1, 2006 at the Grady Memorial Hospital in Chickasha. He was born June 24, 1917, in Austin, Texas to Beecher Franklin Hearon and Edna Alice Gunter Hearon. Mr. Hearon has lived in this part of Oklahoma most of his life. He attended school at Bradley, Oklahoma. He worked for many years in the oilfield as a truck driver, working for both Turner Brothers and Femco. He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, dancing, and fishing and frequenting the local coffee shops to see friends and acquaintances. He was affiliated with the Pentecostal Church. Edgar was blessed by the Lord Jesus Christ in his life and departure. Survivors: Two daughters: Beverly Courtney of Las Cruces, New Mexico; and Geneva Janway of Heavener, Oklahoma; of the home, one grandson, Ricky England and wife Misty; one stepdaughter: Shirley Shell of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; one stepson: Darrell Wadlow of Erin Springs; one sister: Eula Mae Farmer of Woodward, Oklahoma; an Aunt Mildred Tobey of Lindsay, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Jodi Bonds, bucky, Hannah, and Willie Courtney; Daniel Lail, Joshua Lail, Jacob, Amanda, Aaron and Courtney Janway; Tommy and Stacey Shell; Mark, Kerrie, and Brad England; Denisa, Tracy and James England; Chad, Lisa, Adam, Shayla and Janice England and Mike, David and Verena, 27 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and other members of the family. Edgar is preceded in death by his parents, wifes: Willie Hearon and Freda England Hearon and by stepsons James, Edward and Thomas England. Edgar has two brothers who preceded him in death, George and Jimmy Hearon and by sisters, Freda Stroud, Alice Graham and Ollie Geraldine Hassler. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 5, 2006 at 11:00 a.m., at the Winans Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Heron officiating with burial in the Bradley Cemetery under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville. |
