© The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma Tuesday, November 2, 2004 Louie Alwyn Carroll July 20, 1908 - November 1, 2004 Funeral services for Louie Alwyn Carroll, 96, of Bradley, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 4, 2004, at the First Baptist Church of Bradley. Louie Alwyn Carroll was born July 20, 1908, in Maynard, Arkansas, the son of John and Mag [Patterson] Carroll and died November 1, 2004, in Chickasha. Mr. Carroll came to Oklahoma in 1927 from Arkansas. He was manager of the cotton gin in Lindsay and Bradley for Chickasha Cotton Oil Company. He leased the Texaco station in Chickasha and retired at the age of 65. He farmed in the Bradley and Chickasha area for 50 years. He and Murl were married March 6, 1935, in Dumas, Texas. They were married for 68 years. She preceded him in death in 2003. Mr. Carroll was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bradley. He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Marilyn Carroll. Survivors include one daughter and her husband, Kay and Harold Barrington; five grandchildren: Kent and Rose Barrington, Steve and Sonya Barrington, Randy and Vicky Barrington, Toby and Connie Barrington, and Scott Barrington; 11 great grandchildren: Colby Barrington, Kyle Barrington, Kevin Barrington, Michael Barrington, Amber Heard, Kristy and husband Derek Handke, Dustin Barrington, Paige Barrington, Josh Barrington, Johnnie Barrington, and Mason Barrington. Interment will be in the Bradley Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |

Carroll was born Feb. 10, 1917 in Rush Springs and died Friday, March 28, 2003, in Chickasha. Interment will be in the Bradley Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. |
